The metal-mechanic and transports technology centre of Andalusia CETEMET, which headquarters are in Linares (Jaén), has finally joined the Railway Innovation Hub.
CETEMET was created twelve years ago chasing the goal to become a technological, business intelligence and advanced infrastructure working as a competitive acceleration in Andalusian industries in the areas mentioned before. At this point in time, CETEMET is ruled by a private non-lucrative foundation formed by 20 patrons. Among these patrons, there are enterprises, administration institutions, savings banks, universities and business associations.
The Technology Centre CETEMET aims to promote the economic development of Andalusia, boosting and improving the innovation in the metal-mechanic and transport sectors by the dynamization and development of technological services and R&D projects.
CETEMET finds himself highly specialized in industrial automation (collaborative robots, process automation, flexible manufacture cells or expert systems, among other), in virtual and augmented reality, in control of processes for the 4.0 industry and in product engineering.
The Technology Centre also has experience in design, simulations and trials in the railway sector, in high speed trains, prototypes and tramways, at the same time CETEMET also has done climate, elevation tool, and machine simulations, among other.
CETEMET is the second innovative technology centre which joins the RAILWAY INNOVATION HUB, after the recent incorporation to the Spanish cluster in railway mobility of TECNALIA located in the Basque Country.
